»Translucent Objects«

Interactive art installation in public space

Brief description:

»Translucent Objects – »INTERPLAY« is designed as an interdisciplinary public art installation that merges sculpture with new media art. The art project deals with the process of cocooning – a metaphor of retreat, transformation and metamorphosis – relating to the isolation and quarantine measurements during the pandemic. The public art project is in its concept phase and waiting on approval for art funding.

The light sculptures in real life size will incorporate interactive elements of new media art that will reflect audience behaviour with reference to the topic isolation vs. interconnection.

The pictures show one of the construction models on a scale of 1:13.
