ARTIST STATEMENT

My artistic practice revolves around the exploration of various media, including sculptural painting, plastic art, installation and new media. My interdisciplinary approach to art has led to new forms of expression and a distinct visual language.

Many years of living in rural areas and urban spaces such as Guatemala City, Budapest, London, Vienna and Berlin have had a significant impact on my work. The interplay between natural habitats and urban playgrounds has deeply influenced my artistic perspective. This interplay acts as a catalyst for my creative exploration and provides a rich source of inspiration for my work, allowing me to draw from and incorporate a wide range of cultural influences.

My work explores thought-provoking themes and concepts, inviting the viewer to engage with complex narratives and reflect on the world we live in. My focus lies not in depicting the obvious, but in making visible the in-between and the unspoken. Exploring the unseen and overlooked aspects of our existence allows me to uncover hidden connections and narratives that lie beneath the surface.

Through my work, I hope to provoke reflection and dialogue, and foster a deeper understanding of the intricate web of relationships and interdependencies that shape our existence. Ultimately, I hope that my work will spark curiosity, introspection, and empathy, and create an environment that encourages meaningful conversations and a deeper appreciation of the human experience.
